Being a female fitness model is harder than it looks. It requires dedication in the gym and a strict focus on nutrition to get your body to the height of physical perfection. There are thousands of women that want to be the best and claim a place on the front cover of some of the world’s leading magazines, but only a few that have what it takes.

Laura Henshaw is an Australian fitness model that has featured on the cover of Women’s Health magazine, co-authored a book on body confidence and co-created a health and fitness app to help people with their clean eating efforts. Laura is often praised for being refreshingly honest on social media and not just showing her followers staged or posed pictures, but true reflections of her life and fitness journey.
Another Australian, Sophie Guidolin has authored 8 books and has also gained popularity through her successful 12-week fitness training program. Sophie, a mother to 4, is a qualified nutritionist and personal trainer who came to prominence after losing over 60lbs following her diagnosis of diabetes whilst she was pregnant.
Emily Skye is a personal trainer, fitness model and fitness entrepreneur that has been featured in Women’s health, People magazine, Forbes, Popsugar and the BBC to name but a few. Emily has an extremely popular fitness app that she recently used herself, following the birth of her daughter, to get back in shape.

Can you believe this is our winter? Today was a beautiful day so we took Mia down to the beach and made the most of it! This time we did not let her run into the water fully clothed like last time! 🤣 Lesson learned!! 🙈 . Training update: I have been working on my cardio fitness for the past few weeks which is something I don’t usually do as I do not like cardio at all haha! 😬 There is a place for cardio though & I believe it’s important to do strength and cardio training! Tammy Hembrow is an Australian model and fitness model that also owns a fitness apparel brand and a nutrition and exercise company which can be accessed through a mobile app. In addition to this Tammy is also a casting director for Khloe Kardashians label and is a loving mother of 2.
The Australians are taking over, Kayla Itisines, another Australian fitness model, is also an author and fitness entrepreneur. The brains behind the ever-popular BBG, and her hugely popular workout app ‘sweat with Kayla’, Kayla has featured in many mainstream health and fitness publications, such as Women’s Health and was announced as the number 1 personal trainer of 2017.
Our first American on the list, Jen Selter quickly became a fitness sensation when she started posting photos of her workouts on Instagram. Highlighting her toned body and shapely glutes, Jen started a revolution of women that wanted to look just like her. Featured on the cover of Women’s health numerous times, Jen is one of the original female fitness models from the Instagram era.
Born in Venezuela, Michelle has graced the covers of over 30 fitness magazines, including “Muscle & Fitness Hers”, “Women’s health” and “Sports & Fitness”. A fitness model and bodybuilder, Michelle was named as one of the top fitness influencers by Forbes magazine and is regarded as one of the most influential people in the fitness modeling world.

Sommer is a country girl at heart, raised in Colorado and only moved out to L.A as her fitness modeling career began to take off. Sommer is now regarded as one of the brightest faces in fitness and is quickly making a name for herself as more than just a body.
Canadian fitness model Lyzabeth has one of the most recognizable figures in the fitness industry. Lyzabeth built her physique in high school with help from the football players who taught her the basics and she continued to work hard on her figure, making her debut in 1999 at the WNSO competition, becoming the first winner of the Fitness search category. Decades later Lyzabeth is an established fitness model having featured on many different fitness magazine covers.
Lais Deleon is a Brazilian fitness model that began lifting weights at 19. With natural good looks, Lais soon began modeling and her athletic figure enabled Lais to make an easy transition over to fitness modeling. Lais focuses on lifting weights to build lean muscle and helps women to become stronger while still keeping their curves as a coach herself.

American fitness model Katy became hooked on exercise after seeing photos from her 21st birthday and being unhappy with what she saw. Now 27, Katy spent the next 6 years shaping her body and building a fitness empire. Now an online coach and established fitness model, Katy is a popular face in the fitness industry.
28-year-old Dianna began modeling at 13 before taking it seriously at 18. Dianna began work as a fitness model making it on to the covers of magazines such as ‘Flex magazine’, ‘Muscle & Fitness HERS’ and ‘Fitness RX’ after she started competing as an IFBB Pro Bikini bodybuilder. A fitness coach in her own right, Dianna is also a sponsored athlete and business owner.
This New Orleans native got into fitness after being teased for being ‘chubby’ as a kid. She soon dedicated herself to fitness and changed her physique leading to her competing in bikini bodybuilding shows. Her athletic physique soon started to attract fitness modeling work and she has since turned that into a successful fitness modeling career.
Jenna Renee Webb
Jenna Renee Webb has featured in some of the world’s biggest fitness magazines, such as Shape, Muscle & Fitness and Sports Illustrated; she was also the first female to be on the cover of Maximum Fitness Magazine. As a youngster, Jenna suffered from anorexia but has been able to rebuild her body, mind, and health through proper nutrition and regular exercise.
IFBB Bikini Pro Marzia is an award-winning trainer and vegan health coach. With a successful Bikini career to her name, it was easy for Marzia to find work as a fitness model and she has used this to launch her own successful businesses. A qualified nutritionist, Marzia switched to a vegan diet for health reasons as she had a very strict diet and many allergies.

American Amber is a personal trainer and nutritionist as well as a professional fitness model. As a child, Amber was a model and also entered pageants. She had an eye for numbers and completed a degree in finance but didn’t actually track her nutrition properly or begin lifting weights until she began competing in the early 2000s. Amber has entered Bikini competitions and modeling competitions and has featured in many mainstream fitness magazines, such as ‘Oxygen, ‘Shape’ and ‘Fitness RX’.
With over 12 million Instagram followers, Amanda doesn’t have a background in modeling. Her passion was fitness and it was only through chance, after sharing a picture of a client, that she began to get fitness modeling work. Not wanting to turn down the opportunity, Amanda has grown from strength to strength and has since launched a successful fitness modeling career which includes a home workout guide and a successful clothing line.
Tracy Anderson started out as a dancer but struggled with her weight and was unable to follow through with her dreams. After finding a successful way to shift the weight Tracy began helping others using the same methods, which lead to Tracy working with famous clients, such as Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckham, and Gwyneth Paltrow. The added exposure has enabled Tracy to build a successful fitness empire and has established her as a premier model within the fitness world.
After changing her own life, health, and fitness, Jen began to do the same for others. Launching her Instagram page and sharing her success led to multiple fitness modeling offers and as a result, Jen was able to build her brand bigger and bigger. Now with her own personalized coaching program, Jen helps other women to change their bodies and improve their health so that they too can be happy.
